At the recent NYCxDESIGN 2017, MAEKAN was invited to host an intimate conversation with high-profile VP & Creative Director at adidas Brooklyn Creator Farm, Marc Dolce. This MAEKAN Session saw a packed house at the adidas New York’s 5th Avenue flagship where the footwear veteran spoke passionately about his career, process, and approach to attaining success. Beyond Dolce’s efforts designing, he’s also provided endless dedication to guiding the next generation of designers and creative thinkers.
Marc Dolce sharing his wisdom.
“Everyone has the ability to be creative. I think when you grow up as a child, you have this amazing ability to ideate […]. You’re dreaming constantly.”

The next generation taking notes.
“As humans, we’re not perfect so why should our products be perfect? The products that we do are constantly a work in progress you’re really just capturing a moment in time with your work. And you can have an idea today that evolves into something really different tomorrow.”
— Marc, on innovation
“The way we look at it, it’s like a football team. Once you step out onto the pitch, we’re all equal. It’s not about job titles it’s not about roles or responsibilities.”
— Marc, on integrating young but inexperienced talents into the team
Dolce remains intent on guiding the next generation within the creative industries.

“Honestly, it’s very simple. It’s about showing me your process and how you got an insight or idea, and show me a way you feel you can help that product change someone’s life.”
— Marc, on what he looks for in new designers entering the industry
